Arsenal 2–1 Chelsea — Final Score (Premier League)

In a gripping English Premier League London derby at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal secured a 2–1 victory over Chelsea in a match that showcased drama, momentum swings and decisive moments from set pieces.

Arsenal took the lead in the 21st minute through a well-worked corner routine. William Saliba rose highest in the box to power a header into the net, giving the Gunners an early advantage and setting the tone for a closely fought contest.

Just before halftime, Chelsea pulled level in unusual fashion. Under sustained pressure from the visitors, a Reece James corner caused chaos in the Arsenal area, and defender Piero Hincapie inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, cancelling out Arsenal’s advantage and making it 1–1 going into the break.

The second half started evenly, but Arsenal regained the lead in the 66th minute. From another set piece, Jurrien Timber capitalized on a defensive mix-up to head Arsenal back in front. That goal proved decisive as Chelsea’s task got tougher moments later when Pedro Neto was shown a second yellow card and sent off, reducing chelsea to ten men.

Despite being a man down, Chelsea pressed for an equalizer and looked to have found one deep into stoppage time only for the effort to be ruled out for offside after a VAR check. Arsenal held on, with goalkeeper David Raya making several key saves in the closing stages to preserve the three points.

The result strengthens Arsenal’s position at the top of the Premier League, giving them valuable breathing room in the title race, while Chelsea will reflect on missed opportunities as they chase European qualification.
