Celebration of Life Announced for Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai (1945–2025)

The family of the late Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai has formally announced the celebration of life and burial arrangements of the revered cleric, evangelist, and founder of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association Inc., who passed on to glory on December 18, 2025.

In a statement titled “Notification of the Glorious Transition of Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai,” the family described his passing as a victorious completion of a life devoted to God, humanity, and the advancement of the Christian faith. Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, widely regarded as a General of Faith, was known for decades of evangelism, medical and welfare outreaches, and transformational ministry across Nigeria and beyond.

The burial activities will take place across Akwa Ibom State and Abia State, reflecting the spiritual and cultural roots of the late preacher.

Akwa Ibom State Activities

  • Sunday, March 15, 2026 (12:00 pm): Medical/Welfare Outreach at Nkek, Ukanafun Local Government Area — the first location where Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai held a crusade.
  • Wednesday, March 18, 2026 (4:00 pm): Celebration Service at UUEA Fellowship, 4 Lanes, Uyo.
  • Friday, March 20, 2026 (4:00 pm): Night of Tributes hosted by the Akwa Ibom State Government in Uyo.

Abia State Activities

  • Wednesday, March 25, 2026 (10:00 am): Medical/Welfare Outreach at Asaga, Ohafia Local Government Area.
  • Thursday, March 26, 2026 (3:00 pm): Service of Songs at the Ohafia LGA Secretariat.
  • Friday, March 27, 2026 (10:00 am): Burial Service and Interment at the Ohafia LGA Secretariat, Ohafia.

The family has requested that all tributes be submitted to the official email address, tributes@drumaukpai.org, on or before December 31, 2025.

In a message signed by Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) Philomena O. Uma, on behalf of the family and the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association Inc., the family appealed for prayers and support as they join the global body of Christ to celebrate a servant of God who “finished his course and entered eternal rest in the Lord.”

Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai’s legacy of faith, compassion, and service continues to resonate in the lives of countless people impacted by his ministry.
