Jigawa Govt Gets FAAN Approval to Install Cargo Facilities at Dutse Airport

The Jigawa State Government has received approval from the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to commence the installation of cargo handling facilities at the Dutse International Airport, marking a significant step toward boosting trade and economic activities in the state.

The approval is expected to transform the airport into a key logistics hub for agricultural produce and other goods, enabling farmers, exporters, and businesses in Jigawa and neighboring states to transport products more efficiently to local and international markets.

State officials described the development as a strategic move to unlock the state’s economic potential, attract investors, and create new jobs in the aviation, agriculture, and logistics sectors.
