Kaduna State Governor Pledges Fair Compensation Before Any Demolition

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has assured residents that his administration will not demolish any structure or dispossess any citizen of their property without paying fair and adequate compensation.

The governor made this declaration while addressing concerns over ongoing and future urban development projects across the state. He emphasized that while urban renewal and infrastructure expansion are necessary for Kaduna’s growth, the rights and welfare of citizens remain a top priority for his government.

Governor Sani stated that any demolition exercise carried out by the state government would strictly follow due process, including proper documentation, stakeholder engagement, and transparent valuation of affected properties. According to him, compensation will be based on fair market value to ensure that residents are not unfairly disadvantaged.
