LAMATA Extends Blue Line Train Operations Ahead of The Experience 2025
The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) has announced an extension of operating hours on the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line ahead of The Experience 2025, one of the world’s largest annual gospel concerts.
According to the agency, the move is designed to ensure the safe, smooth, and efficient movement of thousands of worshippers expected to attend the all-night event at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos.
The extended service will allow trains to run later than usual, providing attendees with a reliable transportation option before and after the concert. LAMATA noted that the decision reflects its commitment to supporting major events in the state while improving public mobility and reducing traffic congestion.
The agency also urged commuters to adhere to station guidelines, prioritize safety, and make use of the modern rail system to avoid road traffic delays during the high-volume event.
The Experience 2025 is scheduled to hold this weekend and is expected to attract global participants, making transportation planning a key part of the event’s success.
