NiMet Forecasts Three-Day Sunshine and Cloudiness Nationwide

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a three-day period of sunshine and cloudiness across the country, advising residents to expect generally stable but varied weather conditions nationwide.

In its latest weather outlook, NiMet said most parts of the country will experience sunny skies with patches of cloud cover during the day, while some areas may record hazy conditions, particularly in the northern regions, due to prevailing atmospheric patterns.

According to the agency, morning hours across the North are expected to be mainly sunny with slight cloudiness, transitioning into partly cloudy conditions later in the day. Night and early morning temperatures may remain relatively cool in some areas, especially in the far northern states.

For the central states, including the North Central region, NiMet projected a mix of sunshine and cloudiness throughout the forecast period, with generally moderate temperatures. Residents were advised to remain cautious, as localized weather variations could still occur.

In the southern parts of the country, the agency said coastal and inland areas will experience intervals of sunshine and cloudiness, with chances of brief early morning cloud cover. NiMet added that humidity levels may be relatively high in the region, especially along the coast.

The agency urged the public, airline operators, farmers, and other weather-sensitive sectors to stay updated with regular forecasts and advisories, noting that weather conditions can change rapidly.

NiMet reaffirmed its commitment to providing timely and accurate weather information to support safety, planning, and economic activities across Nigeria.
