VDM and Comedian Mr Jollof Clash Aboard Asaba–Lagos Flight
Tension erupted on Monday aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight from Asaba to Lagos after a heated confrontation broke out between popular social media activist Very dark man (VDM) and comedian Mr Jollof, causing a temporary disruption to boarding procedures and sparking widespread online reactions.
According to eyewitnesses, the altercation began shortly after passengers settled into their seats. Voices were raised as both men engaged in a verbal exchange that quickly attracted the attention of fellow passengers and flight attendants. The situation reportedly grew intense enough for crew members to intervene, urging calm and attempting to separate the pair to restore order in the cabin.
Several passengers captured parts of the confrontation on their phones, with early clips already circulating across social media platforms. While the cause of the dispute remains unclear, airline officials have confirmed an incident occurred and are reviewing the situation to determine whether any policies were breached.
One witness described the scene as “unexpected and unsettling,” noting that the disturbance delayed the final preparations for takeoff. There has been no confirmation yet on whether either individual was removed from the aircraft or if the face-off impacted the flight’s eventual departure time.
VDM and Mr Jollof, both known for strong personalities and public disagreements—have been trending on Nigerian social media for months over various controversies, making today’s confrontation particularly explosive.

United Nigeria Airlines is expected to release an official update soon. This story is still developing. More details to follow.
