Nigerian afrobeats stars, Rema and Asaka has set a new record in the afrobeat genre.

Asake won the 2024 GQ Global Creative Award becoming the first Afrobeats artist to win the award.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ is nominated for “Best Hit International” at the 2024 Swiss Music Awards.

Calm Down became the first Nigerian/Afrobeats song to earn a Swiss Awards nomination.
