Alhaji Safiyanu Isah Andaha, the executive chairman of the Akwanga Local Government Council, and his companion, Adamu Umar Tanko, were reportedly abducted. Their captors have reportedly demanded a ransom of N50 million in exchange for their release.
Negotiations between the family and the abductors are still underway, according to a family source who wished to remain anonymous.
