According to his statements, he served as First Youth Leader in Anambra, President of the Anambra State Youth Council, Special Adviser on Youth & Mobilisation to Governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, Special Assistant on Security & Personal Aide to Governor Chris Ngige, Chief Protocol Officer to Governor Peter Obi and Senior Special Assistant on Political & Security Matters to Governor Willie Obiano.
Professionally, he is a real-estate developer based in Abuja, which gives him business credentials beyond strictly political roles.
On April 8, 2025, Ezenwafor clinched the PDP ticket for the Anambra guber election. The primary was held at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka.
As the sole aspirant, the process was uncontested; 798 delegates voted in his favour, with 26 invalid ballots recorded.
He made clear his goal: to bring the PDP back into the Anambra Government House, stating that many heavyweights in other parties started in the PDP.
