Ayra Starr continues her meteoric rise with her first-ever Grammy nominations  a double recognition in the Best African Music Performance category for her soulful anthem “Commas” and a feature on a cross-continental collaboration in Best Global Music Album.

Davido, who made history with multiple nominations in 2024, returns to the list again with a nod for Best Global Music Album for “Timeless II”, showcasing his consistency as one of Afrobeats’ leading global ambassadors.

Other African artists including Asake, Tyla, and Tems also earned nominations, reflecting the continent’s growing cultural footprint in global music.

The announcement has sent social media into a frenzy, with fans and celebrities celebrating what many describe as “the golden era of African sound.”
