Spain Beats England To Win FIFA Women’s World Cup Final

FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 final: Spain beat England 1-0 to become world champions

Spain beat England 1-0 in Sunday’s Women’s World Cup final. It was Olga Carmona’s decisive strike from left wing that defeated England goalkeeper Mary Earps in the first half.

Carmona, the left-back, has scored in two consecutive World Cup games for Spain. The Spanish team has scored 18 best goals in this World Cup.

Spain were awarded a penalty for a handball by midfield player Keira Walsh just after the hour. However, goalkeeper Mary Earps saved Jennifer Hermoso’s penalty with a throw to the left.

England manager Sarina Wiegman made a number of changes, including to striker Lauren James, but they failed to equalize and Spain won their first major title.

This win made Spain the second country after Germany to win both the men’s and women’s World Cups.
