Tyson Fury, WBC Move Forward on Usyk Fight

Tyson Fury Vs Oleksandr Usyk fight

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk were scheduled to fight on February 17 to unify the heavyweight titles, but the fight was postponed due to an injury to Fury. The WBC president, Mauricio Sulaiman, explained that the fight is still on, and he believes it will be bigger than ever. He also addressed the frustration of Usyk’s team, and the possibility of using video replays in the fight.

With the fight rescheduled for May 18, the WBC has continued to support the event, according to Sulaiman. He also discussed the possibility of using video replays during the fight. The WBC has been using instant replay for 12 years, and has a clear process for when to use it. However, it is most commonly used for controversial endings to fights.

Sulaiman also shared his thoughts on the heavyweight division, and how the outcome of the Fury-Usyk fight could impact it. He believes the winner of the fight will be the convincing winner in deed.
