Rematch between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is approved as more information becomes available.
According to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury’s rematch has already been accepted.
Additionally, he asserted that following years of intense conjecture, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder would eventually square off in a bout next year.
The bout between Fury and Usyk was originally scheduled for December 23, but it was postponed because the British fighter needed extra time to heal after his recent victory over Francis Ngannou.
Instead, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua will square off that evening, but not against one another.
As Wilder gets up for a big fight with Joseph Parker, Joshua will instead square off against Otto Wallin.
Sulaiman has now verified that the WBC has previously approved of Fury and Usyk’s rematch.
Furthermore, he asserted that the greatest eliminator in boxing history might be a final bout between Wilder and Joshua.
Sulaiman said to Sky Sports, “We’ve been waiting, pushing, mediating, and encouraging everyone to try to make this happen.”
“Wilder and Joshua got quite close on a few times while Wilder was champion.
