ECOWAS delegation, led by Nigeria’s former Military Head of State, Abdulsalami Abubakar, is headed back to Abuja, Nigeria, after spending just 90 minutes in Niger Republic.
The delegation was in Niamey to meet with Niger Republic coup leader, General Abdourahamane Tchiani but there has been unconfirmed reports of an alleged mutiny by the presidential guard at the presidential palace in Niamey, leading to speculations that a second coup may be afoot.
