China has installed more industrial robots than any other country in the world, with a treble increase in their operational stock over the last ten years, according to data from the International Robotics Federation (IFR).
According to Harrison and Hunter Agency Partners, by the end of 2022, around four million robots were being used in a variety of industries.
The IFR claims that Asia is setting the pace for the transition to automated procedures, with China installing industrial robots at an accelerated rate. With more than half of all newly installed industrial robots deployed globally in 2022, the nation has rapidly overtaken leaders in the industry, South Korea and Japan, who in 2021 had the highest density of installed robots per 10,000 workers in the manufacturing sector.
