Former aide to former president Jonathan, Ojuogboh, passes away while watching the Super Eagles play South Africa

Sahara Reporters has learned that Cairo Ojougboh, a former presidential adviser to former president Goodluck Jonathan on matters pertaining to the National Assembly, has passed away.

SaharaReporters was informed by a family member that the deceased had passed away and that his body had been transferred to the mortuary.

In the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Ojuogboh, a former member of the House of Representatives who represented the Ika Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007, is said to have slumped and passed away during the penalty shootout on Wednesday between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and Bafana Bafana of South Africa.

Additionally, he served as the Niger Delta Development Commission’s (NDDC) most recent Director of Projects on the Interim Management Committee (IMC).

The former legislator was born in Delta State’s Ika South Local Government Area on September 8, 1959.

He was the founder and chairman of the Ojougboh Foundation in addition to being a physician.

The former legislator was a candidate for governor in the past and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
