Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party LP in the 2023 elections, has reacted to the planned protest against the current administration
Several Nigerians have taken to the streets to express their grievances regarding the hike in the prices of commodities and the rising inflation level, which is said to have emanated from the removal of fuel subsidies by the current administration led by Bola Tinubu.
In respect to this, Nigerian politicians urged citizens to exercise patience with the current administration, as there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.
However, plans to embark on a nationwide protest against the Tinubu-led administration have been revealed.
In a video posted by Channels Television, the Labour Party LP flagbearer, Peter Obi, replied to the question as to the identity of the protest organisers, noting that the sponsors of the protest are hunger and hopelessness amongst the youth.
According to the video, “When they talk about the sponsors of the protest, I said the sponsors are very simple; it is hunger and hopelessness amongst the youths.”.
