In a letter to the Senate, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced his intention to bring the 2024 Appropriations Bill to a joint meeting of the National Assembly by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29.
Senate President Godswill Akpabio read President Tinubu’s letter of intent at Tuesday, November 28’s plenary.
According to reports, the N27.5 trillion 2024 Appropriations Bill was adopted during the Federal Executive Council meeting on Monday.
Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, clarified that fluctuations in foreign exchange rates were the reason behind the budget’s bolstering from N26 trillion to N27.5 trillion.
Tinubu is anticipated to bring the 2024 appropriations bill before the National Assembly as required by the Constitution.
