Why I Gave Rashford Penalty Against Everton – Bruno Fernandes

The captain of Manchester United, Bruno Fernandes, gave an explanation for why he declined a penalty kick during their 3-0 victory over Everton.

Even though he often takes the penalty, he sent the ball to Marcus Rashford.

Following Ashley Young’s foul on Martial, VAR awarded a penalty, which Rashford scored from the spot.

“Because Marcus needed his goal, he needed a little confidence.”

“He takes penalties really well. Marcus executed the penalty kick flawlessly, as I was certain he could.

“Obviously, scoring goals is a crucial aspect of a striker or winger’s game. Marcus could take on anyone and was unstoppable.
