The Ondo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged young people across the state to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party made the call during a youth engagement programme held in Akure, stressing the importance of active participation in the democratic process. APC leaders noted that the PVC remains the most powerful tool for citizens to influence leadership and governance in Nigeria.
According to party officials, the youth population plays a major role in determining the future of the country, adding that increased voter registration and participation would strengthen democracy and ensure that young voices are represented.
The APC also encouraged first-time voters to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), while calling on eligible citizens to remain peaceful and law-abiding throughout the political process.
Some youth leaders at the event described the initiative as timely, noting that many young Nigerians are becoming more interested in politics and governance ahead of the next election cycle.
The 2027 general elections are expected to witness intense political activities across the country as parties begin early mobilization and grassroots engagement.
