Ekiti Poll Will Test APC Strength Ahead of 2027 — Kaduna Governor
The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has said that the upcoming governorship election in Ekiti State will serve as a major test of the strength and unity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a political gathering, the governor emphasized that the Ekiti poll is more than just a state election, describing it as a strategic indicator of the party’s grassroots support and organizational capacity across the country.
According to him, the APC must approach the election with seriousness, cohesion, and effective mobilization to maintain its dominance and build momentum toward 2027. He urged party members and stakeholders to remain united and committed to the party’s vision.
Governor Sani also highlighted the importance of delivering good governance, noting that performance at both state and federal levels will play a crucial role in shaping public perception and electoral outcomes.
Political analysts say the Ekiti election is likely to attract national attention, as it could reflect shifting political dynamics and voter sentiment ahead of the next general elections.
The APC, which currently holds power at the federal level, is expected to face stiff competition, making the outcome of the Ekiti poll a key benchmark for future political contests.
