In the Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State, the Joint Task Force of Operation Hadarin Daji successfully repelled a bandit raid on Karazau hamlet.
According to a trustworthy source close to the military, last Saturday the OPHD troops responded to a distress call regarding numerous armed terrorists storming Karazau village.
The source claimed that armed militants ambushed the forces as they got closer to the village.
But with reinforcement and tactical skills, the combat-ready forces cleared the ambush and drove the bandits to flee, whereupon several of them met their end.
In order to prevent the terrorists from operating freely, the forces have taken control of the surrounding area and are conducting vigorous patrols that are aimed at fostering trust.
