In Zhibi village, Tafa Local Government Area, bandits in Niger State mercilessly murdered the mother and wife of a police officer who was on duty.
The attackers broke into the police officer’s property, seriously hurting him and robbing his wife, her mother, and their newborn child.
According to Sabo Abdullahi, the head of the security vigilante in Gauraka town, the mother-in-law and wife of a policeman were found dead from gunshot wounds close to a bandit camp near Apo village.
The infant was identified and taken from the police outpost in Gauraka by Ogwuche Simon, a police officer, after the kidnappers gave it to a victim who had been let free in the village.

The remains were dumped at the Umaru Musa Yaradua Memorial Hospital in Sabon-Wuse along the Abuja-Kaduna expressway, according to Musa, who verified the occurrence.
