The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has unveiled Euromatch as its new title sponsor in a landmark three-year partnership worth $7.5 million.
The agreement, unveiled in Abuja on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, is valued at $2.5 million per season and will see Euromatch become the league’s official naming-rights partner ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The unveiling also featured the presentation of the NPFL’s new visual identity and logo, marking what league officials described as a significant new commercial chapter for Nigerian domestic football.

60% of Sponsorship Revenue to Go to Clubs
NPFL Chairman, Gbenga Elegbeleye, said the agreement would provide substantial financial support to the competition, with the larger share of the sponsorship proceeds directed to participating clubs.
According to reports from the unveiling, 60 per cent of the annual sponsorship revenue — equivalent to $1.5 million — will go to the clubs, with the funds expected to support improved players’ wages and welfare.
The reported arrangement represents a significant commercial boost for the NPFL, which has endured a lengthy period without a major conventional title sponsor. The league’s previous title sponsorship arrangement with Globacom ended in 2016.
A New Commercial Era for Nigerian Football
Former Sports Minister and Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, welcomed the development, describing it as evidence that the decision to approach sports as a business was beginning to attract meaningful investment.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau, also welcomed the partnership, saying the agreement would strengthen the NPFL and create greater opportunities for clubs and players.
Representatives of Euromatch said the partnership represents a strategic investment in Nigerian football and expressed their commitment to working with the NPFL and other stakeholders to increase the league’s visibility and commercial value.
The unveiling was attended by several prominent figures in Nigerian football, including former Super Eagles stars Daniel Amokachi, Samson Siasia, Austin Eguavoen and Brown Ideye, alongside other football stakeholders and dignitaries.
The agreement brings an end to the NPFL’s prolonged search for a major title sponsor and ushers in a new commercial era ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
For the NPFL, the challenge now will be to translate the increased commercial investment into tangible improvements in player welfare, club finances, broadcasting, matchday experience and the overall quality and marketability of Nigerian domestic football.
With Euromatch attached to the league’s name from the new season, the NPFL is entering the 2026/27 campaign with renewed commercial momentum and expectations of a stronger financial foundation.
