Two people were taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command for their part in the death beating of a guy who was suspected of stealing car doors.
SP This information was disclosed in a statement released on Sunday by State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin, in response to a report from the widow of the deceased man at the Iponri Police Division.
The police were prompted to act and make the arrests after the widow reported on Thursday that she had witnessed her husband being attacked by a group of people while she was at home.
“She claimed in her report that they were abusing her spouse for allegedly stealing two car doors.”
“She stated that upon arriving at the scene, she observed her spouse lying in a pool of blood, and the attackers had taken him.”
