Tinubu Appoints Fayose, 25 Others to Key Federal Agencies

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, and 25 others to leadership positions across 10 federal government agencies and commissions.

Fayose was named Chairman of the Board of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), alongside Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta as board members and non-executive directors. The board also includes REA Director-General Abba Abubakar Aliyu and three previously appointed executive directors. The appointments take immediate effect.

The President also appointed Major General Junaid Bindawa as Chairman of the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, with former Lagos lawmaker Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas serving as Secretary. Eight commissioners representing various states were also named.

Other appointments include Tosin Johnson Adeyanju as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, Dr. Abuh Mohammed as Director-General of the National Population Commission, Dr. Akinola Odeyemi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET), and Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission.

Engineer Julius Oloro was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), replacing the late Dr. A.R. Kamal.

Tinubu also inaugurated the Board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, with Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman and six other members.

In addition, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, while Gisaor Vincent Iorja was named Executive Director of Finance at the Federal Housing Authority, filling the vacancy created by the resignation of Mathias Byuan.
