Muonagor’s health problems and Mr. Ibu’s passing earlier this month underscore a major issue with Nollywood actors’ healthcare.

Many of them are not covered by health insurance or able to make monthly payments because they are paid on a per-film basis. Not all performers have enrolled, despite the Actors Guild of Nigeria claiming to have secured insurance coverage for the sector.
Muonagor has starred in numerous films over his career, notably Paw Paw and Aki, in which he played the father of two boisterous, mischievous teens. This is one of his most well-known performances.
Nollywood is still very popular in Nigeria and throughout Africa, even with competition from international film studios.
