BREAKING: NLC, TUC Begin Strike Tuesday Midnight.
In response to the assault on Comrade Joe Ajaero, the NLC President by the Imo State Police Command few days ago.
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have instructed their members to go on a nationwide strike to express their anger on the humiliation and human right abuse on civil service.
The strike is set to commence on midnight Tuesday, November 14, 2023.
The organized Labour stated that all chapters and affiliate unions of labour have been instructed to implement the resolutions of the joint National Executive Council of both NLC and TUC.
TUC President Festus Osifo highlighted that the proposed strike would persist until “governments at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”
