A horror and unbearable news broke up in the early hours of the day in a village called Umudosi in Ama ise of Udo Osi autonomous community in Umuokereke Ngwa in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria.
This incident took place in the family of Mr. Shadrack Eje.
His third son whose name is Amadi,
Age within 30-32 years old and a Keke rider.
According to the narrator whose name is not disclosed in the interview he shared, he said what they saw in reality today is what they used to see in movies.
According to the eye witness who happens to be Amadi’s elder sister and their first daughter, (Adanne ya) who has married but came home because of her child’s sickness and witness this terrible incident.
According to her, the brother, Amadi returned home at night from his Keke riding business, and said he will sleep together with her mother in his mother’s room that night, unusual from his room where he normally sleeps. He took his mat to his mother’s room where she and her sick son were lying together with her mum. Her sister asked him are you sleeping with us, are you not sleeping in your own room? And he replied yes, and then she said okay without feeling anything negative as he is her blood brother.
Around 10:30 pm he got up with a knife and said he will kill anyone who shouts. He held the mother at the throat and strangled her and they could not run away as he locked up the door, then it was her sick son that now broke the glass window and ran out shouting but nobody responded to him while all the incident took place.
He strangled the mother, cut off the head, opened the head and brought out the brain and then entered the room where his own son was sleeping and cut off the young boys private part and ran away with the two items.
On his runway, he fell into the pit toilet with slab at their backyard and hanged there till the day breaks.
In the morning when people gathered in their compound to see what had happened, the mother was already lying lifeless while the little boy was still struggling for his life half dead.
The men of the Nigerian Police Force were called upon and the officers took the woman dead body to the mortuary and the little boy to the hospital where he is receiving treatment currently.
According to the report, the police did not allow anyone to take pictures or videos of the dead woman and the little child.
Furthermore, on the scene where the boy was hanged in the pit toilet, all efforts to bring Amadi out of the pit toilet was abortive and the people suggested that the powers of their land is holding him which they called “Ala”. Then they called on a native doctor from Ntigha Uzor community who serves a deity called “Kamanu” and he came to perform some rituals to allow the “Ala” (Land) to release him before he was brought out.
According to Amadi when he was interviewed by the police at the toilet where he was hanged;
He said that a spirit entered into him and told him to cut off the mother’s head and bring out the brain and also cut off his son’s genital organ and run away with it. He further said that he was watching that as a movie on his android phone when the spirit entered into him.
As he is talking now, he does neither know where h is nor what happened
