Why Wizkid Is More Respected Than Davido And Burna Boy” – Tunde Ednut (VIDEO)
Renowned Nigerian celebrity blogger Tunde Ednut has disclosed the reason for the more respect accorded to Grammy-winning Afrobeats artist Wizkid compared to his fellow countrymen, Burna Boy and Davido.
According to a video posted on Instagram by Tunde Ednut, Wizkid is well-liked throughout Africa due to his influence on how African musicians are treated at the BET Awards.
It was mentioned that a major factor was Wizkid’s 2017 BET award boycott, in which he accused the event’s organizers of failing to give African artists the same respect as international performers.
However, Wizkid’s protest led to a good change: after Davido won the following year, the awards for African performers were given out live in front of an audience during the main ceremony.
