President Bola Tinubu has named Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke as the coordinator of his 2027 presidential re-election campaign in Osun State, according to the revised All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list.
The appointment was reported by multiple Nigerian news organisations on Tuesday, October 13, as the ruling party prepares for the 2027 general election.
According to Channels Television and Premium Times, the revised campaign council includes several prominent political figures from outside the APC, including Adeleke, who won his re-election as Osun governor on the platform of the Accord Party.
Other notable appointments include Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as campaign coordinator for his state, while Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, will coordinate the campaign in Rivers State and the FCT.
Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori was named Director of Finance, while Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Nigeria Revenue Service Chairman Zacch Adedeji were assigned fundraising responsibilities.
The revised council retains Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General, with other political leaders assigned roles covering mobilisation, administration, election planning and stakeholder engagement.

Adeleke’s appointment is politically significant because he belongs to the Accord Party rather than the APC. His inclusion raises questions about cross-party cooperation and the political alliances being assembled ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
