Find out the Black Stars’ results, scores and group standing at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 in 2024.
Ghana are seeking their first continental football title for over four decades at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2023 in Côte d’Ivoire.
Despite often boasting some of Africa’s most talented players, the Black Stars’ last AFCON triumph came back in 1982 after previous victories in 1963, 1965 and 1978.
Only Egypt (seven) and Cameroon (five) have more Africa Cup of Nations titles than Ghana.
They have come close in more recent times, going down to Côte d’Ivoire on penalties in both the 1992 and 2015 finals. They were also runners-up in 2010, losing 1-0 to Egypt.
The team is eager to end their 40-year title drought with Andre Ayew again wearing the captain’s armband. This is Ayew’s eighth appearance in the biennial event, and he aims to become the first player to score in seven different editions.
