Baghdad Algeria drew with Burkino Faso in Group D, but Bounedjah scored twice to keep Algeria’s hopes of qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations alive.
The Stallions had led thanks to a strong header from Mohamed Konate, but Bounedjah equalized in the 51st minute with a close-range goal.
Twenty minutes later, Bertrand Traore’s penalty placed Burkino Faso ahead once again.
However, Bounedjah stood up the highest to head in the second equalizer for Algeria in extra time, earning them a point.
