Usyk Backs Anthony Joshua to Beat Tyson Fury

Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk has tipped British rival Anthony Joshua to defeat fellow Brit Tyson Fury in a potential blockbuster showdown, reigniting debates across the boxing world.

Speaking during a recent interview, Usyk who has shared the ring with Joshua twice and Fury once expressed confidence in Joshua’s ability to come out on top if the long-anticipated fight materializes. According to the undefeated Ukrainian, Joshua’s discipline, power, and improved mentality could prove decisive against Fury’s unpredictable and highly technical style.

“I think Joshua can win,” Usyk said. “He has grown, he is focused, and he understands what is at stake.”

Usyk, who handed Joshua back-to-back defeats in 2021 and 2022, acknowledged the former two-time heavyweight champion’s evolution since those losses. Joshua has since rebuilt his career with a series of impressive victories, showing renewed confidence and tactical awareness under new training guidance.

On the other hand, Tyson Fury known as the “Gypsy King” remains one of the most dominant and charismatic figures in heavyweight boxing. Despite suffering a narrow defeat to Usyk in their undisputed title clash, Fury’s size, movement, and ring IQ continue to make him a formidable opponent for any fighter in the division.

A potential clash between Joshua and Fury has long been discussed but repeatedly delayed due to contractual issues, promotional disagreements, and scheduling conflicts. However, with both fighters still at the peak of their powers, calls for an all-British heavyweight showdown are growing louder.

Fans and analysts remain divided on the outcome. While some believe Fury’s unorthodox style gives him the edge, others argue that Joshua’s power and recent resurgence could tilt the fight in his favor.

Usyk’s endorsement adds a fresh layer of intrigue, given his direct experience against both fighters. As talks of future matchups continue, the boxing world waits eagerly to see if this long-awaited bout will finally become a reality.
