Fuel Hike: Gov. Of Lagos orders workers to work from home 3 months
Hardship eats up Nigerian civil servants as Lagos Government orders a work from home for a duration of three months due to Fuel price increase which has made cost transportation exceedingly high for and average Lagosian and Nigerians at large.
The State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday via a circular signed by the state Head of Service, Bode Agoro, approved the extension of working from home policy of Lagos state government for the next three 3 months for Lagos state government workers. This is to alleviate the hardship imposed by the hike in petrol pump prices.
Recall that the governor had on February 28, directed that the workers operate remotely on some days.
He directed that workers on grade levels 01 to 14 were allowed to work from home for two days a week, while those on grade levels 15 to 17 were allowed to work from home for one day a week.
The decision was targeted at reducing the effects of fuel subsidy removal on the Lagos government workers. Which the Governor confirmed to making a positive impact on productivity levels of staff and various ministries, departments and agencies of Lagos state government.
